Adewale activates another Squash, firing away and wiping out the remaining Invess, saving his team from certain death.
"Now what should I do with you?" The professor spoke and aimed his gun at the Over lord, but as one would expect, the pain kicked in one more time. He had been in his Rider form for too long...
The professor practically wanted to scream in pain, but the agony forced him to grab his body and clench his teeth. He dropped his gun and grabbed his aching head, exposing his Sengoku Driver for a clean hit.

The attack struck him hard, and Adewale's driver was immediately sliced in half, essentially destroying it. The Yomotsu Heguri Lockseed was expelled out and his transformation was undone in seconds. The professor landed backwards, his limbs spread out; his head lifting slightly to see the extent of the damage.
With his Driver destroyed, he helplessly looked at the Overlord that stood before him. "What...What are you?!"

The guards who managed to survive the Invess attack saw Adewale in danger and promptly turned their assault rifles on the Overlord, unloading their magazines to buy the professor some time to escape.
Their bullets didn't do much to injure Fulgrim, but it did distract him from the scientist. He briefly looked past the attacking soldiers and spotted Invess corpses strewn about. It looked like he needed to replenish the ranks, and these humans were practically offering themselves to him. He activated his Sengoku Driver again.
"PLAGUE SPARKING!"
"Your chains are mine." He said sinisterly as his hands glowed green, and vines shot out of his fingers, jamming into their necks.

"C'mon! C'mon!" Adewale shouted as he and his fellow scientists fled the scene. Not once did the Professor look back at his soldiers that protected them. He knew they were dead, but he could care less as long as he was alive.
As he ran, Adewale randomly plucked fruits left and right, hopefully to take them back for study.
The vines retracted into Fulgrim's fingers and, as soon as they did, the soldiers began coughing violently. Their forms distorted and warped until a group of Elementary Invess stood before their Overlord.

Adewale and the scientists made it back to their camp. He demanded everyone retreat back to HQ as he ran to the artificial crack. It didn't take long for the whole team to depart and within seconds, Adewale sealed off the crack by shutting off the machines. The sentient Invess certainly won't be able to get in the way they did, at least not for a while.
Interesting how they thought they could keep him out of their world. Fulgrim could follow them through whenever he wanted, but wouldn't. For now, he needed to bide his time and grow his forces. It wouldn't be long before the human world was their. All in the name of the Grand Plan.
