Yoko usually didn't oversee the clean-up crew, but today she tagged along just in case anything went screwy and threatened to blow the lid off of Yggdrasil's operation.
She was in a dark alleyway in the middle of the night with several individuals in full hazmat gear as they set fire to Helheim vines that began to take root in this world.
Yoko didn't have any particular love for this city, but hey it was her job to keep Takatora happy, no matter what she had do to.
The smell of burning Helheim vines filled Fulgrim's not-quite-nose. It brought his anger broiling to the surface. These filthy humans! How dare they!
His imposing Overlord form created a menacing silhouette in what little light there was. He stood in the exit of the alley, doing all he could to keep himself from snarling.
Yoko was the first to notice this stranger's presence as she felt the hairs on the back of her neck shoot straight up. Whoever it was, they were no mere nosy reporter.
Yoko flipped around, her belt already on her waist.
While the Overlord and the human faced each other down, additional vines came out and dragged the other vines and flora of Helheim back through the crack. A presence shrouded in darkness appeared briefly in the middle of the Crack, before disappearing.
"So do I" Frey said, approaching from just behind Fulgrim with his own Lockseed. "I apologize for being late Miss Minato, I ran out of gas on the way here. Have I missed anything?"
Another? The dark figure knew of this one. Yet he disguised himself and lived as a human. She would wonder what his motives are. For now, she watches the battle that is about to unfold before her eyes, while concealed in the forest behind the Crack.
