Takatora had spent hours in Helheim, wandering. He had a Tuliphopper on him so he could escape if he got too lost. Thus far he had avoided conflict, so that was something.
Finally he came across a figure. It didn't appear to be like an ordinary Inves.
"Are you one of the sentient Inves?" Takatora questioned.
The figure in white nodded, speaking in Takatora's own voice, "Overlord. I am Roshuo, the king of what you refer to as the 'Inves'. We've been keeping an eye on where our people wander. I know who you are."
"And who am I?"
"For all intents and purposes, you are the human king. You are the one being proactive. You are the one seeking us, putting your life on the line."
"A king has people for that."
"But we're alike. You couldn't send others, not for something this dangerous. You know you'll survive, because you have to. You are humanity's shield."
Takatora nodded, "That's right. I am."
"Let us test something. I want to see if you're worthy of that title."
Takatora tensed, "Are you going to fight me?"
"No."
A green Overlord appeared, staff in hand. Vines ensnared Takatora, "What an interesting belt..." the Overlord said, also using Takatora's voice, for lack of another human to mimic. Vines gripped the Driver and the figure smiled, "Roshuo, I think I know what you desire."

Natsumi stood in the preparation room, a light backpack on her back. She wore her suit with pants for this occasion, and her Driver rests on her waist. She'd sent out a general alert for the Yggdrasil personnel that were available to come for the rescue mission, and so awaited.

In the lab office...
"Goddammit, Takatora." Adewale muttered as his Master Intelligent System was losing his Overseer's trail and signal distorting. He radioed in. "Mr. Kureshima, I need to know what is going on down there..."

Adewale knew this was not good news and went over to the loudspeakers. "We got ourselves a code red. This is not a drill. Overseer is in need of assistance."
His judgment towards Takatora was right - Strong, noble, and stupid.
"Shit," Yoko cursed, as she buttoned up her shirt and plopped herself up against a tree, "Shit. Shit. Shit."
She had completely forgotten what she had come into the forest for in the first place - to follow Takatora. She listened, calming her own breath, but heard nothing.
She looked down at her cracked belt and snarled, "This better still work..Damn that orange girl!"
She then began to scale that very same tree and resumed her search for Takatora. She didn't hear the signs of battle so perhaps he hasn't encountered the sentient Invess? Yet.
Frey tried to get into contact with Takatora for several minutes. After a moment he mentally sighed and decided to do this the real way. "Test, test, -o y-" Frey removed his earpiece and pocketed it, along with his Driver. He leaned against a tree, and transformed himself into his true state.

"Because, butler.." She glared at him, putting her best high class look. "You were late. But since you were gracious enough to join us, let's go." Turning away from him, she steps through the crack, and heads for the location indicated at a quick, brisk walk.
Something big was going down. And as always, the forbidden fruit watched, dressed in shadow attire that covered part of her face, but not the eyes. Though she hadn't been detected.

"That's where we're headed." Natsumi said quietly, followed by something else. "I get that you don't really like me. I don't really like your attitude either. But.." She pauses, plucking a pair of fruit, and having them turn into a Kurumi and Donguri Lockseed respectfully, before tossing them to him. "You can use those in your swords right? Deal with the lesser Inves. I'll deal with the bigger threats. That way at least, we can bring him home."
