As soon as the figure finished talking, he fired one final shot, destroying Volt and causing Volt's "core" to fly off to "reset", and then turned to the duo of Ken and Ren, and smirked behind the helmet. "Now then, for the witnesses." However, before he could raise the pistol, another voice came from him, this one much deeper and more gruff. "No, don't bother. Dead humans leave evidence, and can lead to someone tracing us. Just leave."
Ren was readying his magic, getting ready to unleash as much of it as he could in case this turned bad. If he needed to protect both of them from this newcomer, he wasn't sure he could do it. His mana was too low naturally, and there was no one with magical talent around him to drain and cast off of, so they were screwed. Fortunately it sounded like the other figure was going to leave.

After firing a shot past Ren's head and laughing, the figure turned away from the duo, undoing the transformation and walking away. With a grunt, Ken started to wake up, his vision blurred from what he suspected to be a minor concussion. As he struggled to regain balance and force himself upright, he got a hazy look at the man walking away, before falling back unconscious and dropping to the floor.
Ren remained crouched and tried to help get Ken up, until he went back down. Ren sighed and wasn't sure what to do with him. He could carry the man out of this place and to a hospital or something, but he wasn't sure that Ken would want that. He figured he'd wait a few minutes to see if Ken would get back up or not.

After roughly three minutes, Ken coughed, regaining consciousness and groaning. "Dammit, bastard...did Volt...?" Another coughing fit cut Ken off, as he struggled to sit himself up.

Ken coughed again, managing to sit up. "Then he'll be back...Roidmudes come back if the core isn't destroyed. Dammit!" Ken shouted, punching the wall, too weak to actually crack it as he normally would.
