Katsu held her broken bag in one hand. It was like everything else in her life. Nothing was whole, nothing was complete. Not even her. With the monster inside of her, how could anyone call her whole? She shared a life with something she didn't understand, with something she couldn't control.
Her parents were there, but she couldn't turn to them for anything. They loved her, but she didn't know how to think of them. This monster had changed the way she thought, it had changed everything.
Friends? Ha! What friends? There were those she spoke to in school, those who said they would be friends and do things together. She'd made friends right away in high school, but did any of them do anything? They made false, empty promises about doing something with her, and then never did. She took the initiative, but still, they ignored her.
She saw them doing things with other students and just outright ignoring her. She had tried her best to be kind, to do what she could to prove she wanted to be friends, to be proactive, but yet everything failed. Her school life was broken. Her "friends" didn't care about her.
She looked to the ocean below this cliff-face. Was this the best option? She didn't know. Would it kill her? She didn't know. She just hoped it did. She hoped that Rise would remain dormant long enough for her to die, instead of saving her.
What point did she have anymore? There was none.
She made the move to jump.
