Aaron, on the other hand, had gone back to his office and made one of those giant boards with pins and paper clippings. If he was going to solve this mystery, he needed to find Lana. Only trouble was he had no idea where to start.
It was then that an invisible figure jumped right through the window of Aaron's office and barrel rolled onto his floor. It had a faint glimmer about it so Aaron could sort of tell it was there. It said nothing but seemed to have a weapon trained on Aaron.

Aaron stiffened, hearing the sound of something landing on his floor. He didn't dare make any moves, just in case whatever it was...there! That glimmer gave it away. It was brief, but it was there. His eyes moved to a table, where the Break Gunner and all his Shift Cars sat, then he dashed for it.
The glimmering figure landed on the ground and immediately noticed Aaron jumping after him. The figure turned and fired off several shots of an unknown energy before taking off down the street.

"DRAGSTRIP!"
Aaron's newly-conjured energy shield took care of the blasts as he landed. It dispersed the moment he took off after the invisible figure. It was Lana. It had to be her.
The figure kicked over a trashcan before blasting a street light several times causing it to collapse onto the road, causing a terrible pileup that went several miles long.
The figure shook its head, it clearly wanted that to fall into the path but screwed up. It didn't stop to watch the carnage and continue on its run.

The sounds of an immense pileup filled Aaron's ears, but it wasn't the most pressing thing on his mind right now. He spotted that glimmer running down the street, so he pursued.

Aaron was halfway across the street, when he heard a car heading right for him. He stopped and turned, only to see that it was a cab. Not just any cab, though.
There was no answer. Instead the car drove up to Aaron, showing him that nobody was driving it.. It then unlocked itself and opened its own passenger seat.
